Merchant questions

Do my customers check out on my Shopify store?
Yes. They use your normal Shopify checkout, like any other product. They pay for ROOPON access (member deals and rewards). If a giveaway is part of the deal, it goes with that same purchase. They do not go to a second cart just to pay for draw entries.
What am I actually selling?
ROOPON access packs you pull in from the app—sometimes more than one tier. The buyer pays for member perks. The giveaway helps you sell; it is not a separate product they pay for on its own. See the app and ROOPON for the full rules.
How do I earn money as a Shopify merchant?
You earn a share of sales that count under your deal with ROOPON. You see it in your merchant area in the app. The percent and any caps are set in your merchant terms—open the app and pick your connected store to read them.
Where does the money from each order go?
The buyer pays through Shopify. Shopify pays you on your usual timing. ROOPON’s part of the sale is handled in the app and in your merchant terms—not as cash to your PayPal or bank like the separate affiliate program.
What are app billing and merchant terms?
ROOPON’s app fee is charged through Shopify only (usage-based app billing or Managed Pricing). You must agree to merchant terms before connecting. App fees are never collected via Stripe or PayPal — only through Shopify’s billing system.
Can my customers buy on roopon.com instead of my Shopify store?
roopon.com is ROOPON’s separate consumer site (memberships and packages via Stripe). When you use this Shopify app, customers must checkout on your Shopify store for synced ROOPON access packages. The consumer site is not used to bill you for app usage.
Do I have to sign up as a ROOPON affiliate?
No. You can sell ROOPON products in your Shopify store without joining the main affiliate program. We may tag your account so we know which sales are yours. Money from your store follows your Shopify and app rules. The affiliate program is separate: that is where you share links and, when it applies, get paid to PayPal or your bank. If you want that too, use the affiliate signup page.
