Get out before a contract rolls on for another year
The window to leave is before the notice date, not on the day the new term starts.
Step 1
Find the end date and the notice period
It is in the original email or the provider's app, often called "minimum term" and "cancellation notice". 30 days' notice on a contract that ends in June means you must act in May.
Step 2
Put that notice date in a calendar
Not the end date. The notice date. Set it two weeks earlier than the provider's deadline.
Step 3
Price one alternative before you call
You do not have to switch. You need a number so the current provider has a reason to match it.
Step 4
Leave in writing
A chat that "we'll note that" is not a cancellation. Keep the confirmation email.
The tool that keeps this going
Why ROOPON
Contract Renewals tracks the notice date so a mobile, NBN, or insurance contract does not lock in again while you meant to look around.
The lowest cost plan that includes every tool on this page is Ultimate at $99.99/month. Memberships also include partner discount codes. You can pay monthly or yearly, and you can cancel anytime.
